    1 ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO EXAMINATION
    a
    B.Sc Nursing Degree Course: The student would be eligible for admission to the university examination only on due fulfillment of the relevant requirements and regulation of the university and Indian Nursing council.
    b
    General Nursing & Midwifery Course: The student would be eligible for admission to the prescribed examination only on due fulfillment of the relevant requirements and regulations of the Karnataka Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
    2 SERVICE AGREEMENT
    a
    B.Sc Nursing Degree Course: At the time of admission the student and the parent/ guardian must execute an agreement with the management of the institution for the diligent prosecution of the prescribed 4 years course of studies and on completion of the course for the student to put in 1 year of Internship in St.Philomena's Hospital or College and thereafter to serve the hospital/ College of Nursing for period of 1 year.
    b
    General Nursing & Midwifery Course: At the time of admission, the student and the parent/ guardian must execute an agreement with the management of the Institution for the diligent prosecution of the prescribed 3 years and 6 months course of studies and on completion of the course for the student to put in 2 years of service in any of the Hospitals located at different places within or outside the State of Karnataka run by JMJ.
    3 a Vacation: Students of both the courses will have 30 days annual leave and 10 days of sick leave. Special leave will be granted in the case of serious illness or death of father or other, brother or sister, marriages of brother or sister. The genuineness of the ground for leae must be certified to the certifiation of the management. The period of leave will be 3 days and deducted from the annual leave.
    b
    Uniform: Successful candidates will have to buy their own uniform for duty in the hospital and for community health postings. The uniform is provided by the college of nursing on payment.
    c
    Health Programme is available to all students. The preventive health programme includes physical examination, routine laboratory tests and immunization. Students must undergo a complete health check-up on admission and there after every year.
    d
    Withdrawals: If any student decides to withdraw voluntarily from the School/ College after the preliminary period or any time before completing the course, she should pay back to the School/ College the amount spent on her by the Institution.
    e
    Membership: SNA/ CNGI: All students are required to become active members of the Student Nurses Association (SNA) Catholic students are expected additionally to become active members of the Catholic Nurses Guild of India (C.N.G.I).
